Serves: 2
Ingredients
- ½ lb extra lean ground beef
- ½ packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup shredded tex mex cheese (cheddar/mozzarella is great as well)
- 1 avocado sliced
- 1 tomato sliced
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 4 slices bread
- 2-4 tbsp. butter
Instructions
- In frying pan add taco seasoning to ground beef and brown.
- While the beef is browning slice up tomato, avocado, shred lettuce
- Once ground beef is cooked drain any extra fat off.
- Turn oven onto broil
- Butter one side of bread on put in frying fry on medium heat.
- Put generous portion of ground beef on bread, then top with shredded cheese.
- When bottom of bread is nicely toasted transfer frying pan to oven and broil until cheese is melted, I find if you try to grill the sandwich on stovetop the entire time by the time the cheese is melted the bread is burnt.
- Add second slice of bread under broiler to toast at same time.
- when cheese is melted take out of oven and put tomato slice on cheese, then slices of avocado, shredded Lettuce, then top with toasted bread.
