Port Salut is a traditional French monastery cheese first created in 1816 by Trappist monks at the Abbaye du Port du Salut in the Loire Valley. Made from pasteurized cow’s milk, it has a smooth, creamy texture, a distinctive orange rind, and a mild, approachable flavor with a notable aroma.
