Pont-l'Évêque AOP is the oldest cheese from Normandy, created in the 12th century by monks near Caen. Awarded the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO/AOP) label in 1996, guaranteeing the origin of the milk, how the cows are fed and reared, and the preserved local cheesemaking tradition.
This PDO Pont-l'Évêque is made by Isigny Sainte-Mère, selecting the best milks from Normandy — exceptionally rich in fat, protein, and Omega-3 — along with the lactic flora characteristic of the Isigny terroir.
