Heidalsost Original Whey Norwegian Brown Cheese is a premium variety of traditional Norwegian brunost (brown cheese) produced by Heidal Ysteri in the Gudbrandsdalen valley.

This 750g block is made from a blend of cow’s and goat’s whey, milk, and cream, slowly cooked to caramelize the natural milk sugars, giving it a distinctive deep brown color and fudgy, dense texture.   The flavor profile is mild yet rich, with prominent notes of caramel, buttermilk, and a subtle sweetness that’s rounded out by a lingering creamy finish—often described as powerful and full-bodied due to the long cooking process and high-quality ingredients.
