Ekte Gjetost is a traditional Norwegian brown cheese (brunost) made by TINE from 100% pure goat’s milk whey, cream, and milk — slowly boiled under pressure until caramelization occurs. Stronger and more intensely flavored than regular Gjetost, it’s a beloved staple of Scandinavian breakfasts.

The flavor is sweet and caramel-like with a firm, fudge-like texture that slices beautifully with a cheese slicer (ostehøvel). Especially popular with children for its sweet, approachable taste.

How to enjoy it
