Beatrice Bakery Co. has been baking in Beatrice, Nebraska since 1917, using an old-world German-inspired recipe that has remained largely unchanged for over a century. The Trio brings together three of their signature 1 lb (16 oz) fruit and nut liqueur cake bars — each one built around a dense, tender base packed with approximately 67% premium fruit and nuts by weight, infused with a blend of brandy, bourbon, and rum.
The fruit and nut load is exceptional by any standard: plump cherries, pineapple chunks, golden and regular raisins, pecans, walnuts, and almonds throughout every slice. The 80-proof spirit blend mellows during baking and aging, contributing warmth and depth rather than a pronounced boozy flavor.
